MAKING IT ROLL - BOTH WAYS
A nice long walk on the beach is one of life's simple pleasures - no need to harsh the experience by making a pack mule of myself. Here is the least punishing way to pull off the hike/ride session, by using the board to carry the load.
The sail is secured to the boom with 3 webbing straps, the top mast section is attached to its mate with Velcro ties, and then the boom is fixed to the tail plate with 2 twist ties. So 7 straps and a day pack do the job, and the board gets to earn its keep. Now, hopefully, the hike should be less of a death trudge.
