LIVE Wind

THE HIKE / RIDE REALITY

Those of us lucky enough to live on the coast, know that having the desire, and the day off, does not mean that you get to surf, fish, sail, or anything else that depends on the elements. The time, tides, wind, weather - and possible Karmic energy, will all determine if you'll get in a session at the beach, or on the water.

Yet still, riding a C7 land yacht * on our local beaches is entirely dependent on wind direction, because the tideline runs on a 60 / 240 degree track. In addition to that, the suitable riding surface is a fraction of the total beach width – an average of probably 20 feet, and up to 50 feet at spots on an optimum tide. So the odds of tacking are in the glassy, chest to shoulder high groundswell degree of the above mentioned Karma factor. Not impossible - just not going to wait around for it.
